Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2023 - With My Toddler

We stepped into a Magical Winter Wonderland at Walt Disney World’s Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at 2023! We had a BALL! From Immerse the twinkling lights, merry melodies, and our Disney characters in their Holiday Best, I am now in the mood for Christmas! My family was invited by Disney Parks to attend this year's event, and it was truly a magical experience from start to finish!

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a special ticketed event that is running from November 9th to December 22nd. Guests must purchase separate admission to attend, but it is well worth it for the exclusive experiences and holiday magic that await. The party takes place from 7:00 PM to midnight. Ticket holders can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 PM on the valid date of their ticket. This gives you time to enjoy the park even before the party begins!

Some important event times include:

  • Frozen Holiday Surprise: 6:15 (I highly recommend that you watch it at this time so you can have more time for party activities) 8:15PM

  • Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade: 8:30PM (Earlier is better for little ones) 11PM (Typically less crowded)

  • Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks: 10PM

  • Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration: 7:40PM, 9:25PM, 10:35PM, 11:55PM

  • Reindeer Wranglers in Frontierland: 7:15PM, 8:05PM, 9:30PM, 11:40PM

  • Club Tinsel in Tommorowland: 7PM to 12AM

  • Disney Junior Jingle Jam at Cosmic Rays: 7PM to 12AM

As we entered the park, we were immediately greeted by the festive atmosphere, with Main Street USA decked out in holiday decorations and "SNOAP" gently falling from the rooftops. We excitedly took photos with Mickey in his festive outfit, joined Elsa, Anna, and Olaf for a Frozen sing-along, and even danced with Disney Junior Friends at Cosmic Ray's.

Some of this year's entertainment includes Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, A Frozen Holiday Wish, Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, and Mickey's Most Merriest Celebration. Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks lit up the night sky in a dazzling display of color and music. And SPOILER ALERTTT.... YES Tinkerbell does make an appearance! The highlight of the night was the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. I grew up watching the Disney Christmas Parade on TV yearly (we still do). So being able to see the Toy Soldiers in person really did it for me! My daughter's favorite part was seeing Vanellope!

There are special Holiday overlay on some rides and attractions! My daughter LOVED the holiday layover of Mad Hatter's Tea Party. So Yes! These include Jingle Cruise, where the beloved Jungle Cruise takes on a holiday twist with festive decorations and storyline. Guests can also enjoy a holiday makeover on Monsters, Inc, Laugh Floor, and Space Mountain - Holiday Run!

Dorian even met some friends at the Disney Junior Jingle Jam! The adults were having just as much fun as the kids dancing the night away with Vamaprina, Fancy Nancy, Doc McStuffins, and Timon!

The party is well known for the complimentary cookies, cocoa, and cider. Throughout the park, we also received a keepsake ornament! And don't worry, you don't have to go on a scavenger hunt to get it, they are distributed right at the entrance to the party!

Don't forget to take advantage of the merriest Photopass opportunities! Be sure to purchase Memory Maker or utilize the Disney Photopass service to capture magical moments with your loved ones. AND take pictures towards the beginning of the night so that you don't miss the sunlight!

As a mother of a toddler, I let her guide the night. The reality is she is up late past her bedtime. So I do my best to pace the night and be realistic about what we can accomplish. You want to stand in line to meet Mirabel, (even though we can meet her any day), okay bet! We are doing it. My only regret was not meeting Tiana and Naveen. However, we DID meet Prince Charming, Cinderella, Flynn and Rapunzel I highly recommend checking it out this Holiday Season. Thanks again Disney Parks for hosting us! We had the best time.

PRO TIP: We watched the Parade from near the Main Street Train Station. The parade starts at 8:30, but it takes a while to reach Main Street. Out of curiosity I checked the app and noticed the wait for Mickey was only FIVE MINUTES! If we weren’t cutting it so close to the parade reaching us, we would’ve met Jack and Sally too as there was no wait! Instead, we met them right after the parade. There was a lot of people rushing towards Town Hall with the same idea. We managed about a 15-20 minute wait.
