Tike’s Peak 2022: Blizzard Beach with Little Ones

The cold never bothered us anyway!

We were invited to hang out at Blizzard Beach to check out the newly reimagined Tike’s Peak! We also had the oppuritunity to experience the holidays in a new way. From festive photo-ops, to a few new “Frozen” holiday-themed offerings, and more…. WE HAD A BLAST! We even ran into Goofy!

Not only was this my first time taking toddlers, this was my first time at a Disney Water Park. And boy did we have a TIME! Tike’s Peak is PERFECT for preschoolers. This alone is worth bringing the little ones. The play area features scaled-down thrills to delight younger children!I was so surprised to see a INNER TUBE RIDE!  There is even sand surrounding Tike’s Peak where you can build sandcastles!

It is now Frozen themed and I don’t believe the theming could be more perfect!. Dorian is really into Frozen right now so I knew that this would be a hit for her. Her favorite part of the area was the Olaf wading pool which is covered in Snowgies! I swear she could’ve stayed there and ‘talked’ to them all day. Anna and Elsa’s igloo fortress is super cute and includes playful battles with pop-up water jets. This area is for the enjoyment of those under 48 inches tall.

Blizzard Beach has quick service dining options everywhere you look! There’s something for everyone to enjoy from funnel cakes, Shrimp and Grits, Impossible Burgers, Joffrey’s, Dole Whip, and even adult cocktails and beer. My husband LOVED the Frostbite Mojito. My favorite snack was the Elsa Cone! I LOVE sprinkles and the cone is covered in ‘frozen fractals.’

If you have food allergies, I highly recommend dining at Lottawatta Lodge! They a wide variety of menus and allergy-free options including Gluten/Wheat, Egg, Soy, Peanut/Tree Nut, Milk, and Fish/Shellfish.

Here’s a few things to consider when bringing the little ones to Disney Water Parks:

  • Strollers are not available for rental at Disney Water Parks so you will need to bring your own.

  • One of my favorite things about the park is that Life Jackets are provided free of charge!

  • Refillable drink mugs are available for purchase and can be refilled at either water park.

  • Don’t forget your swim diapers!

  • Arrive early!

  • Bring pool shoes to protect those little feet.

  • Children under 3 are FREE!

Are you thinking of visiting during the holidays? There’s so many festive festivities—and it’s all included with your valid water park admission.

  • Meet Santa Claus! He’s dressed for a day of tropical fun.

  • Behold a stunning snowfall in select locations.

  • Savor seasonal menu items, like a Peppermint Milkshake, Orange Bird Santa Cone and more.

  • Find yuletide touches in the park—including holiday-themed inner tubes!

Are you ready to pack your bags? I think you should!

Thank you so much Disney Parks for inviting us to check out the fun.
